Mr. Jaume Monserrat

Having studied computing at the University of the Balearic Islands and gained an MBA from the EAE Business School, Jaume Monserrat currently combines his work leading the firms Dingus and Etoolinnovation (HITT Group) as the CEO and cofounder with being the president of Turistec (International Cluster of Information and Communication Technologies applied to Tourism).

After beginning his career in the 1980s with the Sol-Meliá hotel chain as an app programmer, he became the systems and communications director at Riu Hotels & Resorts.

In 1997 he became the organisation and systems manager of MTS (Mediterranean Travel Services) and not long afterwards, he cofounded and led the company Axis Data in the same group.

2004 saw him establish his most personal and ambitious project up to that point: the software design firm for the tourist sector, Etooltech (today called Etoolinnovation). In 2008, Dingus was created as a spin-off of Etooltech, focused on the hotel distribution business, becoming international in Mexico a few years later.

As the leader of the ICT-tourism cluster project, his business objective is: attaining high levels of competitiveness in the global market through innovation, talent management and strategy. Conveying and sharing knowledge as a contribution to the socio-economic growth brought about by tourism and the technological companies that currently support it.
